31st Happy Halloween! And what did we get here in Winnipeg for Halloween? Not candy (I had to buy that), but SNOW! 10cm of it at least, and it's miserable. Reminds me on how I should have bought boots instead of sneakers seeing as though I almost wiped out about 800 times today on the way to school and back. The stuffs packed so good that it's a skating rink out there. Shoveling the driveway was mostly a "hacking away at it" afair...
Merina's left as of this morning. Gone to Toronto and Montreal for a week with the University Singers choir. She seemed pretty stressed out about the whole thing, having to write tests early... but I really think that she's going to enjoy herself. At least if anything, she's gotten the chance to get away from this godawful weather (and my whining about it) for a bit.
So now seeing as though it's approaching suppertime, I really should be getting everything ready for the onslaught of candy craving children... or rather those courageous enough to brave the ice and snow :\ They'll be working hard for their sugar this year.

Yeah, we didn't get many at all, but I made it worth their while by giving more candy. My first visit was a 3 year old (with his parents) I think, dressed as a fireman. Seriously, if that kid can brave the elements...
